In February of 2022, Annemarie made the leap to bring Compass to the Richmond Real Estate market as a Founding Agent. Annemarie founded Team Hensley in 2002 with a desire to bring a luxury real estate experience to every client. Our team has been built through lasting client relationships, white-glove customer care, a unique and successful team structure, and over 20 years of experience in the Midlothian, Chesterfield, Chester, and metro Richmond real estate markets. The more we learned about Compass' commitment to their agents, their core values, and business principles, we knew we had to be a part Compass Richmond.

Kim Harris Campbell, Compass’s regional president, said it identified Richmond as a market it wanted to enter – and the Maraghy and Hensley teams that could get it started....She added, “We want to work with the top teams and the largest teams, but we also want to work with teams that believe in our vision of elevating the industry and using our platform to really leverage and grow your business.” Hensley had a similar hand in bringing Hampton Roads-based Liz Moore & Associates to Richmond in 2016. She said she’d been keeping an eye on Compass in recent years after becoming familiar with it through a family member who works for Compass in the D.C. market. “When I heard they were looking to expand, they had connected us, and the rest is history,” said Hensley, who transferred her real estate license in late February.
